King Sharja followed up his recent Musselburgh success with a hard-fought victory at Wolverhampton under Will Pyle, bringing up our 40th winner of the year. Having escaped a penalty for his win in the Scottish apprentice race, he was able to race off the same mark, which ultimately proved the difference between winning and losing in a closely fought contest. A determined performance from King Sharja and an excellent ride from Will to secure a back-to-back win for our Kingman gelding.

KING SHARJA, back down in trip, was always handily positioned on his return to the AW and came out on top in a tight finish to follow up his recent Musselburgh success over a mile, for which he escaped a penalty. He’s due to be 5lb higher but has won off higher marks in the past.
