If you are looking for lots of fun and excitement, or a special gift for someone, then the Ruth Carr Racing Club is for you.

Meet the Ruth Carr Racing Club Horses

Horses in the Club currently are Van Zant,  Newyorkstateofmind, Sacred Melody and new addition Streak Lightning . The Club has won 9 races to date, (January 2025).

Streak Lightning

8yo chestnut gelding who has won three races for us and been placed on multiple occasions.  Joins our Club fit and well on the back of several good efforts at Newcastle a track he loves.  He is currently on a mark he is more than capable of winning off and should add to his winning tally before too much longer.  Updated 3rd January 2025

Streak Lightning

Sacred Melody

4yo chestnut filly bought in July 2024 out of Edward Lynam’s yard in Ireland, owned and bred by Clipper Logistics.  By Showcasing out of a winning mare who was half sister to five winners.  She has come down to a good mark, if she can settle in her races she will definitely win having not being beaten far last time out over 6f furlongs at Wolverhampton. (updated 3rd January 2025)

Newyorkstateofmind

A bay 8yo gelding by Brazen Beau and out of Albany Rose. Bought at Tattersalls in October 2022, he enjoyed a winter of complete relaxation.  Has been a fun horse for our Club members with 4 wins, 2 seconds and plenty of thirds and fourths.  Acts on the all weather and turf (although he’s not a fan of soft ground!) Updated 3rd January 2025

Van Zant

6yo bay gelding who we’ve had since a yearling.  A good looking lad who is full brother to a 3 time winner.
Van showed ability as a 2 year old when placed 2nd to subsequent 99 rated Lethal Levi but at times was disappointing.  He came good as a 4yo and has now won three races on the all weather with lots of placed efforts to back those up!  Has shown most of his form on a synthetic surface but hasn’t had too many chances on the grass for one reason or another!  Updated 20th January 2025
