Dumfries was 2lb well in having been second at Catterick the previous week.  Settled mid div under Jimmy, it was looking like being a hard luck story on the rail but the pair found a way out to lead near the line!

DUMFRIES endured a troubled passage which he did well to overcome, getting the best of a busy finish. That said, he might not need to have bettered his latest form by much.
