Dumfries and Jimmy got it just right from a moderate draw to have a nice mid-div pitch over the extended 7f at Beverley on Ladies Day.

DUMFRIES, who ran on strongly at Musselburgh off this mark this month (subsequently disqualified for his rider weighing in light), picked up well once finding daylight to record his third win of the year. Up a total of 4lb for his wins over this trip at Thirsk in April and over C&D in June, he remains 21lb lower than when joining this yard from Marcus Tregoning the spring of last year, so shouldn’t be underestimated once reassessed.
