DAWN OF LIBERATION got caught way too far back in an amateur riders’ event at Newbury the day before and wasted no time showing himself still ahead of his mark, drawing right away inside the final furlong. The handicapper won’t miss him but he was runner-up off 85 last spring and will remain of interest.
