Things finally dropped right for American Star when coming from last to first under Jimmy at Chester.  A step up to 7f and easy under foot conditions suited him well and the pair took the last at Chester impressively.

AMERICAN STAR, who last won in September 2021 and off 20lb higher, found the return to 7f for the first time since, coupled with a good gallop, setting things up nicely for him. He came home strongly from well off the pace, and he’s certainly got the scope to progress from his current mark.”
