Makalu bounced back to winning ways making it two wins from three runs in 2024.  Held up at the back by Jimmy the pair found a way through to lead close home.

MAKALU, a beaten favourite at Southwell last time, had to wait a while for a run against the rail but his rider was patient and got out in time to notch a fourth win on turf. A winner off 6lb higher last May, he should remain competitive.
